After a few days of single parenthood (temporary, thankfully!!) I am completely sick of bedtime carry-on. 17mo DS just knows that it's his job to carry on when placed in the cot. I pop him in, go out for a minute or two, then return, pat him until he's calm, then go out for a few more minutes, etc. Thankfully it's usually only about a 10 minute process, then he generally sleeps all night... so I'm sure it's not that bad in the scheme of things, but I long for the day when I can tuck DS in and walk out with him happy about being ready to sleep.

So my question is, at what age did your kids start going to bed happily??? I will accept quietly grudgingly...

Or am I placing this topic in the wrong subforum- should it be in preschoolers rather than toddlers??
