Hi Parents ,
"TEACHING YOUNG CHILDREN EVERYDAY ROUTINE TASKS"
How Important do you think as a Parent of a young Child or Children about this Topic
1. Routine (set bed times , getting up in the morning) Having Breakfast before School !!! (some Children don't )
2 Everyday (regular ) (washing face, brushing teeth )
3. Household chores ( after dinner ,plates to the sink )
4. Variety of tasks (setting the table for dinner, folding clothes to put away in draws)
"ALL ARE PART OF LIFE SKILLS ,CHILDREN NEED TO LEARN TO HAVE SOME SORT OF ROUTINE TO FOLLOW !"
Children who learn from the Parents these skills can cope better when they grow into Teens , are better organized
are quick to think of a action list to tackle certain tasks (break them down into more easy tasks ) cope better ,less stress.
Having regular routine skills ...eg washing face in the morning .....eating breakfast.....having plenty of time before
School starts (time management ) Working out what needs to be done (home work ,free time management)
can improve overall less stress ,knows what comes next (list of things to do) and is more calm , in control of what needs to
A knowledge of doing household chores is a bonus for the young child, as they grow older they know how to rather "I DO NOT KNOW"
resulting in been ....lazy ,not been able to clean up after themselves ,messy ,not been able to find things or do simple
everyday chores e.g. ,,,,, washing their clothes and keep themselves clean, cook for themselves ,having a positive
outlook on things even if they don't look at way (sometimes life brings down time ,if you are taught to change that way
of thinking ,things are not always for worse )" POSITIVE THINKING " I CAN TRY TO LOOK AT THE PROBLEM FROM A DIFFERENT ANGLE"
Some young Adults today are finding it so hard to try and see things from a different angle ,high stress, depression ,lack of hope
resulting in drug use , drinking , lack of self respect making it worse. Sometimes one has to fall back on simple tasks
been taught as a young child ,back to the basic routines help to deal with larger problems and with this era of " nothing is private "
Regular Routine household practice work helps with learning to deal with problem solving (when older)
*..... "lets get the job done
*....Feeling good when it has been completed
*....Been able to see the results
* .....Less mess, being able to remember and find items e.g. ,paperwork when needed.
* ... More in tune with one self ,happy , in control more when things don't go as planned .
* ...Problem solving life skills will help the Child to ...sit and think what is best to do ,make a choice (quick)
been able to handle stress better , ,has had practice doing so from early on.
TEACHING YOUR CHILD THESE LIFE SKILLS WILL GIVE THEM THE TOOLS TO GO THAT EXTRA FURTHER
WHEN THEY GET OLDER AS THEY WILL BE ABLE TO SEE THE BIGGER PICTURE ,BEEN ABLE TO FOCUS
ON THEIR DREAM FOR WHATEVER THEY SET THEIR MINDS ON....THE STARS HAVE ALWAYS BEEN IN THE SKY
WE AS PARENTS HAVE TO JUST LIGHT UP THE SKY FOR THEM TO SEE HOW BRIGHT THEY SHINE !!
LEARNING TOGETHER IS THE BEST TOOL US PARENTS CAN GIVE OUR CHILD , ENJOY THE TIME !!
START WITH ;LITTLE CHORES , WORKING TOWARDS LITTLE SYSTEMS , ITS NOT THAT HARD TO DO !!
WHEN THEY KNOW HOW TO THEY ARE LESS TO COME ACROSS SITUATIONS THEY CANNOT HANDLE .INSTEAD
........".POSITIVE THINKING ,"I CAN DO IT ,REACH FOR THE STARS "...........
