I would love to read about some stories from Parents who have Children who are ASD
Special Needs that you find quite funny. I think we should sometimes look at the funny
side of Autism ,how these Children see the world .
For example .....I enrolled my Son into a Cooking Class (life skills) course for the Term 1
and before he started i said to the Teacher before hand best he meet and greet my Son
that way see if you and him can work together during the Term.We went to the Shop where
the classes will take place........
We walked into the shop.....check ....ok .......
My Son liked the deco of the shop....check ....ok....
The teacher had a chat meet and greet ...check...ok
Looking Good So Far !!!!!
Then my Son wanted to look around asked to see the kitchen ...of course said the teacher
go in and look around (which my son did ) and asked nicely to him ..."I am quite hungry
now can you make something for me ? (by this time the teacher said "i like your Son he is
great) "Hooray" this will work out great ,i thought .
He then open the cupboard and said,,,,,"Here is a cupcake i made you can try this if you like"
My Son then looked at me and then at the teacher ,smelt the cupcake and replied
"how long has this being in the cupboard?"
Myself and the teacher just burst into laughter for a few minutes.
The teacher then replied"First time i have ever being asked that from a student ".
My Son said to him...."you try it first please" which he did
then my Son started to eat the Chocolate cupcake .
The Cooking Classes went well and my Son loved going there every Thursday for the Term.
This was a Golden Moment !!!!
Thought to share it with you .
