I am Chinese, my partner is Australian, we have a lot different ideas when we dealing with our 9 months daughter.
Both our parents are not around. every time we have different opnion, he would say we are in Australia, that's what they do. But i totally don't believe other parents would do the same thing he done.

example: today we had an argument again, when we get up in the morning, our little hannah had a bit cough, its winter now, so i let him know when we get out the door. When we arrive the place we working, he hold her in the arm, blanked is not totally covered, wind is blowing, so i was worried, because he put her in situation that will make her cough worse, and he what say is that how he grow up. Then we go into an argument again.

For your example of blanket wrapping  child 9 months.

To keep child wrapped helps prevent catching influenza and other infections, which small children may catch so easily,  which can easily end up becoming extremely serious infections requiring hospital treatment.

While over-dressing can reduce air and oxygen flow to your child,  or when not in a very cold wind environment may cause temperature to be higher than needed.

Best you discuss and understand each others differences in these areas, seek agreement,  perhaps a signal so other knows concerns exist without disrupting what you all doing.

Accept you both try to be correct,  how best to resolve concerns why a particular treatment may provide better care.
