I am very concerned with something and I hope you can give me your advice or at least your prayers.

My family is a good Christian family and I live in a good Christian area. My oldest daughter is 17 and recently she has been hanging out with a group of kids who I think are gays, and saying things that make me think she is turning into a Lesbian. How can I prevent this from happening before it is too late and she becomes permanently gay? I have tried praying for her but nothing has changed, and telling her to stop hanging out with the gays only makes her want to be with them more. Being a gay is not only sinful but also a very hard life, and I am afraid for her. I love her very much so I am very concerned that she may burn in the fiery pits of Hell...

I suggest you hope for the best (that she is not gay, I guess is very important to you), but prepare for the worst. Let's say she is, a choice I don't think she would make being influenced by peers, knowing how difficult it would be to tell her family, especially her mother. So consider searching this website or calling parent line and having a chat with someone about how you will deal with it when (and if) she tells you. We all have choices, and you can choose to love her as she is, or abandon her. And if God punishes her, well at least you know you loved her in this life, on this planet. Because you do love her so much and that should come above all. You're her mother.
